NACW HOUSE SHOW REPORT... Written by Shawn Coats This time, the House Show comes from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at the Five Seasons Center (?). The crowd was packed with loud and rowdy fans who were ready to see the last NACW card before Ultimate Jeopardy II. On the card tonight... -Shock v. The Blue Streak -Chameleon, Ban X, and Alan Soriano v. Guapo Miguel, David Johnson, and Krunch -Brian J. Blottie v. Jack "Shot Glass" Daniels -The Flying Scotsman & "The Lobo" Jeremy Rhodes v. The Cult -Light Heavyweight Champion Stefanie Stevens v. Johnny "Sun" Coast -The Dream v. "Surge" Chaz Warrington -(MAIN EVENT) "Big Dog" Justin Russell v. Antonio "The Rock" Castillo SHOCK V. THE BLUE STREAK Shock wasted very little time in totally destroying the cold nudist/former Light Heavyweight Champion. Shock hit just about everything in his arsenal, and then put away the Streak with a piledriver from the second rope instead of opting for a superplex. The Streak then had to be carried away on a stretcher. CHAMELEON/BAN X/ALAN SORIANO V. GUAPO MIGUEL/DAVID JOHNSON/KRUNCH Chameleon looked rather strange for this match, as the cross-dressing Television Champion actually wore makeup for the first time in the ring, wearing deep purple eye shadow, black eyeliner, and blue lipstick for this six-man tag team match (Paul wanted this to happen, so...it did). Ban X and Soriano did most of the work for their team, as Chameleon is trying to recover from something of a knee injury caused in another federation. Ban X got the win after nailing Guapo Miguel with X Marks The Spot, gaining the victory and two allies. Dave Bean tried an attack on Ban X, but Chameleon and Soriano stopped him. Chameleon then humiliated Bean by pulling an old trick out of his book. With Bean being held back by Ban X and Soriano, Chameleon planted a kiss on Bean, leaving blue lipstick on Bean's lips, similar to Goldust. BRIAN J. BLOTTIE V. JACK "SHOT GLASS" DANIELS Daniels is trying to get some money for more alcohol, so he took a match he really wasn't prepared for by stepping into the ring with Brian J. Blottie. Blottie only took about three minutes to batter Daniels, and then put him away with Simply Legendary. After the match, Josh Walters showed up and attacked Blottie, but Blottie fought back. The match had to be broken up by security guards, as we don't have "suits," just a black guy in a t-shirt and jeans in control. THE FLYING SCOTSMAN/JEREMY RHODES V. THE CULT Scotsman and Rhodes, who formed something of a kinship on the Roleplay Wire, teamed up against the Cult and totally destroyed the former Tag Team champions. Scotsman and Rhodes, for two crazy guys, showed some pretty good teamwork, as they made quick tags, beat the snot out of Kenny Smith and Harbringer, and Scotsman even told Rhodes to pull up his skirt after Smith pulled a portion of it down. Rhodes then told Scotsman to stand behind a woozy Kenny Smith, as Rhodes went behind a woozy Harbringer. Both grabbed the underwear of their opponents...and it was wedgie time! As the Cult was attempting to cover, Rhodes nailed Smith with the Lobo Snap and scored the pinfall win. Rhodes and Scotsman then decided to have some fun...by whacking each other with chairs. After about three chair shots a piece, the two shook hands and returned to the back. LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH STEFANIE STEVENS (C) V. JOHNNY "SUN" COAST Coast, who is not related to Shawn Coats, despite the similarity in their last names, entered the ring first. Coast is a 5'9", 190-pounder, fresh from the Chris Coats Memorial House of Hell. Stevens entered the ring and attempted to employ his quick style, trying to eliminate Coast in under two minutes, but Coast survived the initial onslaught. Coast was about to get nailed with the most basic of suplexes, a vertical suplex, when he turned it into a small package and scored the shocking three-count to become the new Light Heavyweight Champion! Coast then celebrated, as Stevens was shocked by the loss. Coast, despite getting what many thought was a lucky win, is the new Light Heavyweight Champion. THE DREAM V. "SURGE" CHAZ WARRINGTON Warrington tried to avoid Dream's power, and even did quite good, but just like Night Child helped Lost Metal defeat Jeremy Rhodes, Shane Andrews helped his boss defeat Chaz Warrington. Warrington was about to nail a running bulldog, but Andrews held his foot before he could start, and Warrington tripped. As Warrington argued with Andrews, Dream spun him around and got caught with the Nightmare, leading to a Dream three-count and win. MAIN EVENT "BIG DOG" JUSTIN RUSSELL V. ANTONIO "THE ROCK" CASTILLO Russell, who is building momentum heading into the pay-per-view against Billy Classon, fought a man on something of a winning streak, fought Castillo in something of a brawl, and the two fell over the top rope about two minutes in. Russell ran Castillo into the post, slid into the ring, and stood in the middle of the ring, watching as Castillo tried to get back in, but someone was holding his foot. Castillo was counted out in a sloppy match, and the guy holding Castillo's foot was the Flying Scotsman. The two then brawled to the back, and Russell seemed to be disgusted to even take part in the three-minute suckfest. |
